We only have a few rules, so please, read them and live by them. Make them your Ninja Way.
Forum Rules:
1. Be respectful to other users at all times. We have no tolerance for bullies.
2. Mature content is permitted by Proboards, so keep it PG-13.
3. Excessive swearing, unless in character, is severely frowned upon.
4. Respect thread tags. If your name isn't in the brackets, don't go barging in.
RP Rules:
1. This is a Naruto universe RP, so let's all understand that we don't own the characters, the settings or nothing. We're not nearly awesome enough or worthy to claim this as our own.
2. Your character, if a cannon from the Manga or Anime, must act the way that the character does. Don't play Shikamaru as a fool, for example.
3. Seeing as this a Naruto RP, there will probably be fights in threads. So no GODMODDING. This means you can't make other people's characters do things. For example, you can write that your character threw a fireball at their opponent, but YOU cannot decide if it actually lands. That's up to the other character.
4. Which brings me to my next point. Let's all be responsible and agree that not every move and attack is going to land, and not every attempt to dodge is going to work. Be realistic in your fights. A 12 year old Genin isn't the almighty dodger. And remember about CHAKRA. Fights won't last three pages of posts, because CHAKRA eventually runs out.
5. *** Your character is permitted THREE NINJUTSU, 1 GENJUTSU (if applicable), and endless TAIJUTSU. I consider opening the Gates a Ninjutsu. Characters who are Jounin or above are permitted FIVE NINJUTSU, 2 GENJUTSU (if applicable) and endless TAIJUTSU. The NINJUTSU that you choose for your character must be in the manga or anime, or very elaborately explained in your application. Keep in mind that GENJUTSUs are very rare, and not every character should be able to mess with minds. It's an advanced thing. Very basic jutsus, like RELEASE and stuff that the characters would have learned in the Academy, are permitted and don't count as one of your three or five. ***
6. Characters associated with Villages cannot go wandering into other villages. In your threads, you should have a very specific reason for going there, and explain that you got permission from your Kage. You won't see a Cloud ninja just hanging out in Konoha; he'd be kunai'd super fast. So bear this in mind.
7. Hey, have fun with it. The whole point of this RP forum is to fight against the fact that all other Naruto RPs are super complicated and way too elaborate. I trust you guys to follow the rules. We've all read/watched Naruto. When in Rome, RP the way that the shinobi actually act.
