Kuma slashed at the tall standing oak tree in front of her, ranking her claws against the strict bark. Much like the Inuzuka of the Leaf, her family could go bear whenever they felt the need. Wearing her trademark clothing of black baggy work pants, boots, and a yellow shirt with 3/4 sleeves, she stood in the fog of her home village and sharpened her claws. Kuma was always very careful whenever she came this close to her home village. She probably shouldn't come back at all. Her village was powerful enough to have ninja who's specific duty it was to hunt down rogues. Well, Kuma was a rogue.
"You should probably be careful about where you sharpen your claws", said her ninja bear, Shimai, who was standing beside her watching. "The Hidden Mist will only assume you've been around, seeing as you're the last one in your family still alive."
Kuma laughed. "Or maybe they'll just think a bear's been around."
Kuma blew the dust off of the edges of her claws. She wondered if there was a way to sharpen her canines, which were three times the size of a human's and much more pointed. Oh, the joy of barely being completely human.

Taki walked around the forest, carefully on watch for any enemy. She eventually reached a female ninja who looked like she was from this village and froze. Taki reached for the sheath of one of her swords and yelled "You! Are you from this village?" a fire burning in her eyes, wishing she could have her revenge for her family members that have been killed.

Kuma blew the dust off of her last claw before hearing a voice rang dissonance throughout the village. She raised an eyebrow in annoyance. She nodded to Shimai who promptly disappeared into a cloud of smoke. Kuma wiped her hands together and turned around to see a black haired woman. The woman looked like she was ready to either defend or attack.
Kuma, however, was very cool about it. She yelled back, "I used to be. Name's Kuma Otsuka. Let's get one thing straight, though. I might no longer be a part of the Mist, but if your plan is to attack them, I'll have to kill you."
She smiled and tilted her head and said, with a poisonous amount of sweetness, "Who are you, exactly?". Kuma took this moment to retract her grizzly claws and pull her canines back into her head.

Taki grinned, "My name is Taki Uchiha. I was formerly of the Hidden Leaf though now I am a part of the Akatsuki organization. My parents and sister were killed by one of your ninja. I wish to seek revenge."

Kuma laughed. "Well would you look at that! Neither of us actually have a Village to go home to!" She paused and turned her back on the Uchiha. Kuma continued to slash at the tree bark with her claws. She yelled over her shoulder, "I'll let you know right now your game plan isn't going to be easy. You think you can just walk into the Mist and pick off a weakling? Good luck finding one. Those jerks in the Mist might be horrible people, but they're strong."

Taki laughed, "I didn't think it'd be easy. I'm not an easy opponent to fight off, myself. People shouldn't underestimate me so much." She got closer to Kuma and unsheathed one of her swords. "If you want me to prove it to you, I shall." Taki grinned.

Kuma turned and lifted an eyebrow. Okay, so this one was a live one. She smiled and used a claw to push the sword gently away from her, "You should be careful who you point that at." She paused. "I might think you're threatening me, Uchiha."
Kuma eyed the woman in front of her. "Actually, yeah, let's fight. I've decided that I don't like you going into my old village and messing their day up."

Taki scoffed, "If you're so defensive about your village, why would you leave it?" Taki charged towards the female, slashing her sword, reaching for her other sword she has.

Kuma's eyes widend and she jumped out of the way of the blades, growing out her grizzly claws to their fullest extend and holding them out in front of her in a defensive position. She spit back, "It's none of your damn business why I left!". Kuma launched herself towards Taki, her claws outstretched to tear apart any bit of flesh that they might come into contact with. While in the air, Kuma yelled, "I'm not going to let Uchiha trash into the Hidden Mist without a fight!".

Taki quickly weaved her hand signs for one of her ninjutsus "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique" she said as she spat out fire from her mouth.

Kuma saw the massive fireball moving her way, and she turned and ran as fast as she could. The heat behind her felt like it was burning her shoulders, but she knew that as long as she kept moving, she'd get away from it. Kuma leaped to her left and the fireball moved past her. She stood up and dusted off her knees. She charged back towards the raven haired woman. Kuma weaved her hand signs and blasted wind towards the ground in front of Taki Uchiha. Wind was weak against fire, because it only fed the flames. But if she couldn't hit the Uchiha with a blast of wind, she'd hit the earth in front of her, causing an uproar of dirt and dust in the air to blind her. It should work. If not, at least it bought Kuma some time to prepare herself for a taijutsu showdown.

Taki stopped spitting out fire, trying to dodge the wind, but got sliced in the ankle. "Dammit." Taki muttered, "I'm not going to lose to you! I'm going to destroy you and that village!" she spat, pointing at her, causing there to be a genjutsu: Ephemeral.

Kuma was tasting the adrenaline. She cut the enemy! Kuma wasn't even trying! She was just trying to blind those eyes. Kuma remembered learning that members of the Uchiha clan sometimes had the ability to have the Sharingan eye. Kuma didn't know if this woman had it or not. She was careful not to fall into any sneaky Sharingan tricks, but unfortunately some genjutsus don't require the Sharingan. Kuma was charging at the girl when the Ephemeral hit her and she slowed to a walk and stood still, waiting for whatever this genjutsu did to happen.
In the meantime, Kuma quickly took a second to weave handsigns to create her Wind Release: Blades of Wind. Invisible wind sprang from her fingertips and providing her with wind blades, sharper than any sword and giving her a much farther reach than with her regular claws. The Uchiha wouldn't be able to see it, as long as she didn't have Byakugan. Luckily, Kuma knew that was a Hyuuga game.

Taki chuckled, crows started flying from her and she disappeared. Taki had appeared behind her, grabbing both her swords and swinging them, making an X mark.

Kuma watched the woman disappear into a murder of crows. Very artful. For a moment, Kuma didn't know where the woman was. She felt slices cross her back and Kuma arched her spine and roared. Before falling to the ground, Kuma spun around and let her Wind Blades tear through the air behind her. How badly was she cut?
